Production Log Week 6
What changes have you made since your last entry?
I had to re-film some shots and make more cutaways and noddies to add in my documentary but I eventually completed the majority of my editing work by Monday, which was the deadline.
What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
Sir gave us a few more days to complete the documentary because people were realising they had missed things out of their documentary. I noticed my documentary was only 3 minutes long so I had to do some re-shooting and editing to increase the time and make it up the 5 minutes it had to be.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome?
No technical challenges
What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?
I have finished making my documentary and met the new deadline. Even though time was given to us to make further adjustments, I honestly had no hope that I would even complete filming by the deadline let alone finish editing so I quite proud of myself.

Production Log Week 5
What changes have you made since your last entry?
I only need to do voice recordings and then I can start editing. I need to finish this asap because the deadline is in two days and I have two days to edit everything together. This is making me slightly stressed out because I'm starting to rush and when I rush, my work slacks and looks messy so I am trying to quicken up my pace but stay calm.
What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
There has been no time for me to edit on the Macs and now the Year 11's are having their 'Live Day' for media meaning all the Macs and equipment is out of use do to the students using them.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome?
No technical challenges
What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?
I aim to finish everything by Monday, it is not a realistic goal but it is positive and i'm trying to stay positive throughout this documentary so I keep the motivation to carry on and finish it rather than give up.

Production Log Week 4
What changes have you made since your last entry?
Since my last entry, I have started filming and have completed all the written word that had to be done over the holidays. I intend on filming all my interviews over the week and start editing so it can be finished for the deadline.
What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
None of the experts I intended on interviewing ever got back to me so I had to improvise by getting interviews of other people to try and make up the minutes of my documentary and too also get a different opinion.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome?
I have missed out of editing time by leaving the SD card at home a few times so I have had to use that time any missing things out of my documentary like cut aways and long shots.
What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?
I intend on completing my voice recordings and filming then start editing as soon as possible. The deadline has been postponed meaning I have a little more time left.

Production Log Week 3
What changes have you made since your last entry?
I have completed all of my work on blogger so now I need to wait until Friday to get Mrs Lowndes to check and approve my work so I can get a camera and tripod to film.
What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
I have still got no responses regarding interviews and I cannot wait any longer because I am wasting filming time, so I am going to go with Plan B and interview my friends and voxpoppers close to my location so I do not waste money or time.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome?
No technical challenges
What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?
I aim to have finished filming all my interviews on time regardless if it's plan A or B and start editting so I do not miss the deadline.

Production Log Week 2
What progress did you make since your previous entry?
I have completed some late work that had to be done and half of the Christmas holiday work.
What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
I had been ill for half of the Christmas holidays so I could not finish most of the work, this mean when I get back to school I will need to finish the work so Mrs Lowndes can approve it and give me a camera so I can film. I have also had no responses from me interviewee's still, I have thought of an alternative solution in worst case scenario where I will film my friends who procrastinate and get voxpoppers opinions on the topic.
What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome?
I had completed all the work on my tablet and uploaded it to blogger, when I returned to school and checked my blogger there was no work uploaded meaning I had to re-type and upload all of my late and recent work.

Location Recees
This is where I will be having my first interview, I will be filming my interview and then recording what Josh does during the day when he hasn't got college. I think filming in different locations for my interviews will make my documentary look more professional.
This is where I will be making the home diary over the week to record what I do in my time at home. I think this will be quite effective in my documentary because I am involved which will make it more interesting for my audience.
This is where I will be going to get vox pops. The high road is a very busy road full of pedestrians that are hopefully willing to spend a few minutes talking to regarding my topic.
This is where I will be editing my documentary together and filming most of my documentary. I will be recording both the study rooms to see what happens in each one with and without the presence of a teacher and noise. I think this will be quite effective in my documentary because it is almost like an experiment.

Proposal
Aims
The aim of my documentary is to find out the core of procrastination and why people do it. I want to find out if there are any relationships between certain disorders to procrastination to determine whether it is influenced by it or not. By the end of this documentary, I hope my target audience will have learnt about this topic and be able to stop procrastinating and help them understand how it can affect a person in the aftermath.
Content
In my documentary, I will firstly give an explanation about what procrastination exactly is and why we do it. Secondly, I will be interviewing procrastinators and experts relating to my topic to give an insight on how procrastination can effect a person and what it actually does to the brain. I then plan on setting up a short experiment within the school; i am aiming to put a camera in each of the sixth form's study rooms to show what students are doing in their spare time. Lastly, I will interview vox-poppers to get their personal opinion on the topic and then give my target audience some tips on how they can prevent procrastination in the future.
Target Audience
My target audience is the British public varying from the ages of 16-24 of any ethnicity or gender. The interviewees in my documentary are ages roughly between 18-40 due to their occupation which I think is a good idea to use in my documentary so it doesn't look biased. This documentary will also be suitable for any race or gender because procrastination happens to everybody, so everyone can benefit from watching this.
Format
The format of my documentary will be performative and informative because I procrastinate a great deal so I believe I can also benefit from this and I will be displaying a large amount of information about procrastination to my target audience so they can use it to their own ability.
Genre
My documentary will hopefully intrigue and educate my target audience based on the information I am presenting and the experts I will be interviewing so hopefully it will keep my viewers watching because it is a realistic and relatable topic.
Style
I will make me camera shots look professional by using to tripod which keeps the camera steady and focused, this will be useful for my interviews so when it comes down to editing it looks presentable. I will be using close-ups and mid-shots whilst interviewing and also noddies so the audience can see that the topic is serious based on my body language. For the study room experiment, I will attempt to either obtain footage for the original cameras in the two study rooms and set up my own cameras showing a birds-eye view of the rooms. This will be effective in my documentary because I would preview the two recordings next to each other (sped up) as a comparison for my audience to see.
I will not use a lot of graphic in my documentary because I don't want it to look cluttered or un-professional so I intend on only using graphics when displaying facts on the screen and displaying the name and occupation of each interviewee in my documentary. The only sound I intend to use in my documentary will be voice overs when narrating in parts of the documentary and I will be using light background music so I don't distract my audiences' attention away from the documentary itself. I will be using few locations in my documentary- all of which will be different. I intend on using my own home, the school, my interviewee's home, a public street to interview voxpoppers and where ever my expert interviewee's wish to film, e.g. their office, place of work or cafe.
